Care At Your Child's Pace
THE SHORT VERSION
We welcome children with a wide range of special healthcare needs, including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and physical disabilities. Our office is wheelchair accessible, and we adapt the visit to your child — extra time, a predictable routine, a calm pace, and parents close by. When a child needs more support, we offer nitrous oxide, and hospital dentistry under general anesthesia is available with a specialist.
Who We Care For
Every child deserves a dental home where they’re understood, and that includes kids whose needs make a standard appointment harder. We regularly see children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, and medical complexity, along with patients who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids. If your child has had a difficult time at a dental office before, this is the kind of care we’re built for.
How We Adapt The Visit
The work starts before the appointment, with a conversation about your child — what calms them, what sets them off, how they communicate, and what’s worked or failed elsewhere. From there we shape the visit. That might mean a shorter first appointment just to get familiar, a quieter time of day, dimmed sensory input, a consistent step-by-step routine, or simply moving slowly and letting your child set the pace. Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay right alongside, because you know your child better than anyone.
Our office is wheelchair accessible, and our bilingual team can communicate in English or Spanish so nothing gets lost in translation.
Comfort And Sedation Options
For children who need help relaxing, nitrous oxide is a gentle option that keeps them awake but calm and clears quickly. When a child genuinely can’t tolerate treatment in the chair, or needs a lot of work done, hospital dentistry under general anesthesia with a specialist lets everything be completed safely in a single visit. We’ll help you weigh which path actually fits your child rather than pushing a default.
We accept Medicaid and most plans, with CareCredit and Sunbit available — see the Raleigh insurance page.
A Partnership With You
You are the expert on your child, and we treat it that way. Tell us what helps, and we’ll fold it into every visit. Our aim is for your child to grow up with a dental team they trust and a mouth that stays healthy, without dreading the chair.

Questions Parents Ask Us
Do you see children with autism or sensory sensitivities?
Yes, regularly. We adapt the environment and pace — quieter times, reduced sensory input, a predictable routine, and extra time — and we plan each visit around what helps your child feel safe.
Is your office wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Our Brier Creek office is wheelchair accessible, and we accommodate children with a range of physical disabilities and mobility needs.
My child had a bad experience elsewhere. Can you help?
That's exactly the kind of situation we're built for. We start with a conversation about what went wrong and what helps, often begin with a shorter familiarization visit, and move at your child's pace.
What sedation options are available for special needs patients?
We offer nitrous oxide in the office for children who need help relaxing. When a child can't manage treatment awake or needs extensive care, hospital dentistry under general anesthesia with a specialist is available.
Can parents stay with their child?
Absolutely. We welcome parents and caregivers to stay close throughout the visit, because your presence and your knowledge of your child are part of what makes the appointment work.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Our front desk and clinical team are bilingual in English and Spanish, so families can communicate comfortably and nothing gets lost in translation.
Every Child Deserves A Dental Home
