Dr. Anna Au, (pronounced like “ow” –terrible for pediatric dentistry, we know, which is why she goes by Dr. Anna) is 100% a Floridian. She was born and raised in Southeast Florida (Fort Lauderdale area). She is what they call a “triple gator”, (don’t worry she isn’t actually an alligator and won’t chomp on anyone) because she completed her undergraduate degree, dental degree, and certification in pediatric dentistry all at the University of Florida! Dr. Anna had the privilege and honor of serving as Chief Resident while she was getting her special training to work on our little dinosaurs. Fun fact: Dr. Anna practiced as a general dentist for 2.5 years serving children at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center before going back to residency.

Dr. Anna fell in love with North Carolina back in 2015 when she came to celebrate two love birds that were tying the knot, and has had the intentions of moving here ever since! It took 9 long years, but she found her way to Dino Kids and is eager to start her new outdoor adventures here. She is ready to trade in the Florida heat and humidity for North Carolina’s mountains and terrain!

Although she is a full-time pediatric dentist, she also is a part-time couch potato who likes all things potatoes. In her free time you’ll probably find her watching tv or searching for good food all whilst having a crumb or two on her face. Dr. Anna also enjoys terrible dad jokes, cooking, playing with animals, playing board games, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and random fun facts.

Dr. Anna’s goal is to have a community free of yucky sugar bugs through proper education and prevention. She promises not to judge anyone with sugar bugs and will help you get rid of them (hopefully for forever!).
